Welcome to the cyclinghalla Flanders

Experience the classics like a true cycling pro!

Follow in the footsteps of cycling legends by experiencing for yourself the most iconic hills and courses of the famous Flemish cycling classics. The Oude Kwaremont, Ouder Kruisberg, Koppenberg, Paterberg - these names conjure up images of heroic battles and unforgettable moments in cycling. And they are all within easy reach of our resort.

FLANDERS

Old Kwaremont

Three times: that's how many times riders have to climb the famous Oude Kwaremont during the Tour of Flanders. At 2200 meters, the Oude Kwaremont is the longest cobbled climb in Flanders and bridges an elevation difference of 92 meters. Although the average gradient is an "easy" 4%, the maximum gradient of 11.6% is in the middle of the climb - recovering over cobblestones is no small feat.

FLANDERS

Paterberg

The Paterberg may be a relatively recent addition to the Tour of Flanders, constructed in the 1980s on farmland by a landowner jealous of his friend's proximity to the Koppenberg each year, but this climb has already achieved legendary status. With a maximum gradient of 20.33% and an average gradient of more than 12%, it is one of the steepest climbs in the region. The descent to the sharp right turn at the base of the climb requires caution and usually claims at least one casualty each year during the Tour of Flanders.

FLANDERS

Koppenberg

Experience the excitement of the Tour of Flanders with a visit to the "bult" of Melden, better known as the Koppenberg, one of the most challenging and iconic climbs in cycling. This legendary hill, recognized as a national monument, along with more than 40 acres of beautiful surrounding countryside, forms a breathtaking natural hotspot in the Flemish Ardennes. Each year, the Koppenberg is guaranteed to add suspense to the Ronde, with its maximum 20% gradient, ride-worn cobblestones and consistently smooth surface. Experience the challenge where even the greatest have had to run, and discover why this climb is legendary.
